What is Systematic Theology and Why Should We Study it?

Systematic Theology is a broad discipline which seeks to study, understand, and make a coherent statement of the doctrines of the Christian faith both in their individual meanings and in their relationship to one another and in their relationship to the whole.
Why should we study Systematic Theology?
1) We are rational creatures whom try to rationalize and systematize things naturally.
2) Studying leads to greater understanding of what God has revealed to us.
3) It helps us to gro in our spiritual lives.
4) It helps us fulfill the Great Commision in the area of discipleship and teaching.
5) It helps us to clarify fuzzy thinking.
6) It helps prevent us from being unbalanced in our thinking.
7) It helps us to distinguish ourselves form other religios groups/cults when our system of thoughts are laid side by side.
